Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of winners be x

Total number of participants=63

So no of participants not winning=63-x

A winner gets a prize of ₹100

So x winners will receive prize of ₹100x

(63-x) participants will receive₹25each.

So total amount of money=(63-x)×25

According to question

100x+(63-x)25=3000

100x+63×25-25x=3000

Or, 75x+1575=3000

Or,75x=3000-1575

Or, 75x=1425

Or, x=1425/75=19

So the number of winners is19
