Answer:

  • A- Leaf
  • B- Stomata
  • C- Guard cells
  • D- Carbon dioxide
  • E- Photosynthesis
  • F- Oxygen

Explanation:

  • The leaves are the factories that manufacture the food that plants require to grow and survive.
  • They are designed in such a way to allow photosynthesis to occur.
  • They are flat and broad in order to absorb as much light energy as possible from the Sun.
  • They also have a lot of small holes on their surface called stomata, which allow carbon dioxide to be absorbed and oxygen to be released.
  • Each stoma is surrounded by a pair of cells termed guard cells, which govern the opening and shutting of stomata.
  • Photosynthesis may, however, be performed by leaves containing the green pigment chlorophyll.
  • Chlorophyll is the chemical that converts sunlight's light energy into chemical energy.
  • This chemical energy is subsequently utilized to convert carbon dioxide (CO2)  into glucose (C6H12O6) and water (H2O).
