In India, the Supreme Court has three types of jurisdiction:
1) Original jurisdiction
2) Appellate jurisdiction
3) Advisory jurisdiction
The right of the court to hear the case first is called original jurisdiction. It solves controversy between the state government and central government or between one state and a group of other states. It also deals that problem regarding deprivation of fundamental rights of a citizen. The original jurisdiction is not possible for any other matter in India. According to Article 32, the supreme court has original jurisdiction to implement fundamental rights for the welfare of the public.
