The oscillation frequency f cycles per second, of a spring is inversely proportional to the square root of the mass m kg of the spring. When m=2.56, f=2, how do you find f when m=4?

if f is inversely proportional to mass then

(f /f') = m'/,m. proportionality constt. cancels

f= 2

m=2.56

m'=4

then

2/f'=(4/2.56)

f'=2.56/2

f' =1.28
