outer height - 9 cm
outer length - 15 cm
outer breadth - 12 cm
outer volume - lbh
= 15 × 12 ×9 cm ³
= 1620 cm³
inner height - 9 cm - 2 of thickness
= 9-3. = 6 cm
inner length - 15-3
= 12 cm
inner breadth = 12- 3 cm
= 9 cm
we use thickness twice because it is at two place up and down
inner volume =lbh
= 6 × 12 × 9 cm³
= 648 cm³
volume of wood used = outer - inner volume.
= 1620-648
= 972 cm ³
cost of 1 cm³ of wood = 3.5 rs
cost of 972 cm³ of wood = 3.5 × 972
= 3402 rs
