Given outer length = 12 cm

Outer breadth = 10cm

Outer height = 9cm

Outer volume = length × breadth × height

= 12× 10x 9= 1080 cm3

Thickness of wooden box, w = 1.5cm

Inner length = l – 2w = 10 – 2 = 8 cm

Inner breadth = b – 2w = 8– 2 = 6 cm

Inner height = h – 2w = 12– 2 = 10 cm

Outer volume = 8 × 6 × 10= 480 c m3

Volume of wood used = outer volume – inner volume

= 560 – 240 = 320 cm3

Given cost of 1 cm3 of wood = Rs 2

Hence the total cost of wood required = Rs 2 × 320

= Rs 640

Answer:

Rs. 2736

Step-by-step explanation:

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 9

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 910- (1.5*2)= 7

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 910- (1.5*2)= 79- (1.5*2)= 6

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 910- (1.5*2)= 79- (1.5*2)= 6Therefore, Inner volume= 9*7*6 cm^3= 168 cm^3

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 910- (1.5*2)= 79- (1.5*2)= 6Therefore, Inner volume= 9*7*6 cm^3= 168 cm^3Therefore, total volume of wood= (1080-168) cm^3 = 912 cm^3

External dimensions of the wooden box are 12*10*9 cm^3Therefore, External volume= 12*10*9 cm^3 = 1080 cm^3Inner dimensions of the box are 12- (1.5*2) = 910- (1.5*2)= 79- (1.5*2)= 6Therefore, Inner volume= 9*7*6 cm^3= 168 cm^3Therefore, total volume of wood= (1080-168) cm^3 = 912 cm^3Cost of 1 cm^3 of wood= Rs.3
