Given:-

outer dimensions = 16 * 12 * 8

so outer volume of wooden box = 1536 cm3

the width of the box = 1cm

cost of 1cm3 = 2.50

solution :-

outer volume = 1536 cm3

width = 1cm

the inner dimensions of box are

(16 - 2)* ( 12 - 2 )* ( 8 - 2)

14 * 10 * 6

so the inner volume of wooden box

= 14 * 10 * 6

= 840cm3

now the total volume of wood to make required box is

( outer volume - inner volume)

(1536 - 840)

696cm3

the cost of 1cm3 cube wood

= 2.50 Rs

so the total cost to make wooden box

= 696 * 2.50

= 1740 Rs

hope it's help ✌✌
