the outer dimensions of a wooden box are 50cm 45cm 33cm. the thickness of the box is 1.5cm. if the wood weight is 0.8gms per cubic centimeter. Find the weight of the box?

if the box is solid then the volume be 50×45×33= 74250cm3

then we have to remove the volume of void part.. so 1.5 cm is deducted from all of this

50-1.5=48.5

45-1.5= 43.5

33?-1.5=31.5

now the volume of the void part is 48.5×43.5×31.5= 66457.125cm3

hence only volume of the wood be (74250-66457.125)cm =7792.875cm3

for 1cm3 wood weight is o.8gm

then for 7792.875cm3 wood weight be= 6234.3gm = 6.2kg
