Hi ,

The dimensions of the rectangular painting ,

Length = L = 150cm

Breadth = B = 120 cm

According to the problem,

The width of the marigin around the painting = w = 8 cm

Now , the diminsions of the actual painting are

Length of the actual painting = l = L - 2w

l = 150 - 2 × 8

l = 150 - 16

l = 134 cm

Breadth of the actual painting = b = B - 2 w

b = 120 - 2 × 8

b = 104 cm

Therefore,

Area of the actual painting = l × b

= 134 cm × 104 cm

= 13936 square cm

I hope this will useful to you.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The dimensions of the rectangular painting ,

Length = L = 150cm

Breadth = B = 120 cm

According to the problem,

The width of the marigin around the painting = w = 8 cm

Now , the diminsions of the actual painting are

Length of the actual painting = l = L - 2w

l = 150 - 2 × 8

l = 150 - 16

l = 134 cm

Breadth of the actual painting = b = B - 2 w

b = 120 - 2 × 8

b = 104 cm

Therefore,

Area of the actual painting = l × b

= 134 cm × 104 cm

= 13936 square cm
