Gentleman is used as a polite or formal way of referring to a man. YES the writer is absolutely correct in referring them as gentlemen because their work is respectful....as they can do anything which us possible to make their sister back to normal like they did a numerous odd jobs and ate bread and figs just to pay Lucia's hospital fee
