Nitric acid = HNO₃

Oxidation number of oxygen = -2

Oxidation number of hydrogen = +1

Total charge = 0

0 = O.N of H + O.N of N + 3×O.N of O

0 = 1 + O.N of N + 3×(-2)

0 = 1-6 + (O.N of N)

Oxidation number of nitrogen = +5

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Hey mate!

here is ur ans

nitric acid = -2

  Oxidation no. of Oxygen = -2

Oxidation no. of Hydrogen = +1

Total charge = 0

0 = O.N of H + O.N of N + 3× O.N of O

0 = 1 + O.N of N + 3 × (-2)

0 = 1 - 6 + (O.N of N )

Oxidation no. of Nitric = +5

Hey mate mark as a brain list and also in thanks
