I guess the metal X can be obtained by electrolysis. Because it is a strong oxide .
Since X2O3 seems to be Al2O3. It is a stable compound for which it is not affected by water.
hope it helps. :)

Shagufta15: So , is it right ??
maheshwaranlupp0yaxy: Well it could be possibly aluminium and is it obtained by electrolysis
maheshwaranlupp0yaxy: ??
maheshwaranlupp0yaxy: Is it a highly reactive element?
Shagufta15: Yeah ,as far as I know.
Shagufta15: It has high affinity for O2
maheshwaranlupp0yaxy: Wait..I'll check it out...
Shagufta15: sure.
maheshwaranlupp0yaxy: Yeah u are right ....its electrolysis
Shagufta15: ok , thanks.
