The Pace length is the distance between the rear of two consecutive footprints. If P be the pace length of a man in first step and he keeps on increasing his pace length such that AB =5/4P, BC = 3/2P and CD = 7/4P. If the length of the 4th step is 7/5 m.

Answer:

The pace length P is the distance between the rear of two consecutive footprints. For men formula n/P = 144 gives approximate relationship between n and P where, n = number of steps per minute and P = pace length in meters. Bernard knows his pace length is 164cm. The formula applies to Bernard's walking.
