Given :-

Dimensions of brick

  • Length, l = 45 cm
  • Breadth, b = 10 cm
  • Height, h = 7.5 cm
  • Container having paint = 17.25 m² = 172500 cm².

To find :-

Number of bricks to be painted by given paint in container.

Solution :-

Total Surface area of brick = 2(l × b + b × h + h × l)

= 2 × (45 × 10 + 10 × 7.5 + 7.5 × 45)

= 2 × (450 + 75 + 337.5)

= 2 × 862.5

= 1725 cm².

Number of bricks to be painted =

 \frac{amount \: of \: paint \: in \: container}{surface \: area \: of \: 1 \: brick} \\ = \frac{172500}{1725} \\ 100
