The pair of equations 9x + 3y +5=0 and 6x +2y +7 = 0 represents parallel lines.

Given : The pair of equations 9x + 3y +5 =0 and 6x +2y +7 = 0

To Find : These equations  represents the lines

(intersecting , parallel , coincide)

Solution:

Pair of linear equations

a₁x  +  b₁y + c₁  =  0

a₂x  +  b₂y + c₂  =  0

Consistent

if a₁/a₂ ≠ b₁/b₂   (unique solution  and lines intersects each others)

  a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂ = c₁/c₂   (infinite solutions and line coincide each other )

Inconsistent

if  a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂ ≠  c₁/c₂  ( No solution , lines are parallel to each other)

9x + 3y +5 = 0

6x +2y +7 = 0

9/6 = 3/2  ≠ 5/7

Hence

a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂ ≠  c₁/c₂

=> lines are parallel to each other

The pair of equations 9x + 3y +5 0 and 6x +2y +7 = 0 represents parallel lines.

Answer:

Hey mate

Here your answer

parallel lines

The a1/a2=b1/b2 not equal to c1/c2

9/6=3/2=5/7

3/2=3/2 not equal to 5/7

So these lines are parallel lines

Hence proved
