The pair of linear equations 2x+y - 5 = 0 and 3x – 2y -4 = 0 intersect at the point
(1) (1, 2)

Answer:

2x+y = 5................1. × 3

3x-2y= 4...............2. × 2

multiply eq 1 from 3 and eq 2 from 2 we get,

6x+ 3y= 15.........3

6x- 4y= 8...........4

y = 7/7 = 1

now putting the value of y in eq 3 we get

6x + 3×1 = 15

6x + 3 = 15

6x = 15 - 3

6x = 12

x = 12/6= 2

( x=2,y=1). ( 2 , 1 )
