Answer:

k =6

because then a1/a2 = b1/b2 will be equal to c1/cw

hence the lines will be coincident and therefore will have infinite number of solutions.

For infinite solutions,
(a1/a2)=(b1/b2)=(c1/c2)
Here a1=4,a2=8,b1=6,b2=12,c1=-3
this from above described explanation,
-3/k = 1/2 => k= -6
