the pair of yeast do not multyply in water but multiply in sugar solution

Actually yeasts multiply in water also but at a very slow level. In a sugar solution the yeasts are provided with sugars which they consume and increase their number.

Yeast also multiplies in water but slowly and in sugar it multiplies more faster.
