Let the parallel sides be 2x and 3x
Area of trapezium = 1/2 (sum of parallel side ) ×height
500 cm sq = 1/2 (2x +3x) ×20 cm
500 cm sq =1/2 ×5x × 20 cm
500 cm sq =50x cm
500 cm sq/50cm = x
10 cm =x
Therefore the length of the parallel sides are 2x = 2×10 cm = 20 cm
3x = 3×10 cm =30 cm
