The parallel sides of a trapezium are given to be 40 cm and 20 cm

Also, the height is given to be 26 cm

We have to find the area of the trapezium

area of trapezium = (1/2) × sum of parallel side × height

                            = (1/2) × ( 40 + 20 ) × 26

                           = (1/2) × 60 × 26

                           = 30 × 26

                           = 780 cm²

Hence, the area of the trapezium will be 780 cm²
