Given :

  • Parallel sides of trapezium = 26 cm and 3 cm
  • Height of trapezium = 21 cm

To find :

  • Area of trapezium

Knowledge Required :-

→ Formula to calculate area of trapezium :-

  • Area of trapezium = ½ × sum of parallel sides × distance between them

Solution :

→ Area = 1/2 × (26 + 3) × 21

→ Area = 1/2 × 29 × 21

→ Area = 609/2

→ Area = 304.5

Area of trapezium = 304.5 cm²

More about Trapezium -

  • A trapezium has four sides, four angles.
  • The sum of angles of trapezium is equal to 360°.
  • It has two parallel sides and two non - parallel sides.
  • In a regular polygon, the diagonals bisect each other.

Given :

  • First Parallel Side = 26cm
  • Second Parallel Side = 3cm
  • Height of Trapezium = 21cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Area of Trapezium

 \\

Solution :

❏ As we know that, Area of Trapezium is given by [ Area of Trapezium = ½ × Height × ( Sum of Parallel Sides ) ]

Putting the Values :

➟ Area = ½ × Height × (S1 + S2)

➟ Area = ½ × 21 × (26 + 3)

➟ Area = ½ × 21 × 29

➟ Area = ½ × 609

➟ Area of Trapezium = 304.5cm²

Thus Area of Trapezium is 304.5cm²
