the \: 1st \: parallel \: side \:  = 13cm \\ the \: 2nd \: parallel \: side = 7cm \\ height = 10cm \\ area \: of \: trapezium =  \frac{1}{2}  \times h \: (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times 10 \: (13 + 7) \\  5 \times 20 = 100 {cm}^{2}

Given: The parallel sides of trapezium are 13 cm and 7 cm and the distance between them is 10 cm which is known as height of trapezium.

To Find: The area of trapezium

____________________________

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that,

  • Area of trapezium = ½ × (a + b) × h

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{Area_{(trapezium)} = \frac{1}{2}\times(13+7)\times 10} \\  \\ \longrightarrow\sf{Area_{(trapezium)} = \frac{1}{ \cancel{2}}  \times 20 \times  \cancel{10}} \\  \\ \longrightarrow\sf{Area_{(trapezium)} =1 \times 20 \times 5} \\  \\ \\\longrightarrow\sf{Area_{(trapezium)} =100 \:  {cm}^{2} }\\ \\

  • Therefore,The area of trapezium is 100 cm².
