Given:-

  • Parallel sides of a trapezium are 18 m and 8 m.
  • Distance between these sides is 6 m.

To find:-

  • Area of trapezium.

Solution:-

We know that,

 \boxed{ \sf \bold{Area \: of \: trapezium =  \cfrac{1}{2}  \times (a + b) \times h}}

In which,

  • a and b are parallel sides of trapezium.
  • h is height or we can say distance between parallel sides.

a = 18 m

b = 8m

h = 6m

Put, All values in formula :

 \longrightarrow \sf \bold{ \cfrac{1}{ \cancel{2}}  \times (18 + 8) \times  \cancel{6}}

 \longrightarrow \sf \bold{26  \times 3}

 \longrightarrow \sf \bold{78}

Therefore,

Area of trapezium is 78 m².
