The parallel sides of a trapezium are 22 cm
and 18 cm. If non-parallel sides are equal and measure
12 cm each, then find the area of the trapezium.​

height of the trapezium= sq root (12^2-2^2)

= sq root 140

Area of trapezium= 18× sq root 140+ (1/2)×2×sq root 140 + (1/2)×2×sq root 140

=sq root 140×(18+2)

=20×sq root 140
