The parallel sides of a trapezium are 25 cm

Given, non parallel sides are equal.

Given, AB is 25 cm.

Let us construct DE and CF as heights.

So, AE and FB will be 6 cm, and EF will be 13 cm.

Now, to find the area of a Trapezium we have to find the height.

Taking one of the triangle and using pythagoras theorem, it's possible.

Consider triangle DAE,

h² + 6² = 10²

h² = 100 - 36

h = root of 64

h = 8 cm

Now, just use the formula to find the area of a tapezium,

I.e., 1/2h ( a + b )

--> 1/2 × 8 (25 + 13)

--> 4(38)

--> 152 cm²

Area of trapezium is 152 cm².
