The parallel sides of a trapezium are 25cm and 13cm, its non parallel sides are equal each being 10 cm. Find the area of the trapezium.

the area of trapezium is geiven by:

1/2*(a+b)*h where a,b and h are the parallel sides and height of the trapezium respectively.Here,as per the question the figure is an isosceles trapezium,meaning that the non-parallel sides are equal in length.

therefore,area of the trapezium=1/2*(13+25)*8=1/2*38*8=152 cm^2
