The parallel sides of a trapezium are 52cm and 27cm ,and the other two sides are 25cm and 30cm.Find the area of the trapezium.

s=25+25+30/2
s=40
area of triangle =√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
=√ 40(40-25)(40-25)(40-30)
=√40×15×15×10
=15×2×10
=300cm^2
also, area of triangle=1/2×b×h
300=1/2×25×h
h=300×2/25
h=24cm
area of trapezium=1/2×(sum of parallel sides )×h
=1/2×(52+27)×24
=1/2×79×24
=79×12
=948cm^2
