the parallel sides of a trapezium are 5cm and 8m. distance between the parallel sides is 12cm find the area

Here distance denotes height.
Area of trapezium = 1/2 (b1+b2)u
=> 1/2 (5+800)12
=> 1/2 (805)(12)
cancel 2 and 805
=> (402.5)12
=> 4830 sq.cm

Area of trapezium =
sum of parallel sides*height/2

Area =(800+5)*12/2

Area =805*6

Area =78cm²
