Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

  • Parallel sides of trapezium = 8 m and 12 m long.

  • Area of trapezium = 60 m²

We need to find the distance between the parallel sides and we know that distance between parallel sides is nothing but height of trapezium :]

  • Height = ?

Given :-

  • Parallel Sides = 8m and 12m.

  • Area Of Trapezium = 60m²

To Find :-

  • Height Of Trapezium.

Solution :-

We know that,

Formula For Area Of Trapezium :-

1/2 × (Sum Of Parallel Sides) × Height.

So, Put the values.

➛1/2 × 20 × Height = 60.

➛10 × Height = 60.

➛Height = 60/10.

➛Height = 6 metres.

Hence, the distance between the parallel sides of the trapezium = 6 metres.
