Let the parallel sides be 5x and 7x.

Area = 540

So, 1/2 * (5x+7x) * 18 = 540
so, 12x = 60

Hence, x is 5......

Now,
parallel sides are 5x I. e. 25 cm
and 7x I. e. 35 cm...

Hope this helps..... Comment if you have any doubt

Answer:

25 cm and 35 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the parallel sides of a trapezium be 5x and 7x respectively.

Area of trapezium = 540 cm²

According to the question ;

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} * (sum of || sides ) * h

⇒ Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2}* (5x + 7x) * 18

⇒ 540  = 9 ( 5x + 7x )

⇒ 12x = 540 / 9

⇒ 12x = 60

⇒ x = 60 / 12

⇒ x = 5

Therefore, parallel sides are ;

5x = 5 * 5 = 25 cm

7x = 7 * 5 = 35 cm
