Parallel lines in a trapezium

Sides of trapezium i.e., 12cm,20cm

To Find-

area of trapezium

___________________________

Solution-

Area of trapezium = ½ × perpendicular distance between parallel sides × sum of parallel sides

= ½ × 15 × (12+20)

= 1/2 × 15 × 32

Answer:

Area of trapezium=1/2 × ( sum of parallel sides ) × height

1/2×(12+20)×15

1/2×32×15

16×15=240 cm²
