The parallel sides of a trapezium measure 12 cm and 20 cm. Calculate its area if the distance between the parallel lines is 15 cm.​

lengths of parallel side are 12 cm and 20cm

height =15cm

area of trapezium =1/2(sum of parallel sides)×height

=1/2(12+20)×15

=1/2(32)×15

=1/2×32×15

=16×15

=240cm²
