Given :-

•The parallel sides of a trapezium measure 14cm

• The distance between them is 9cm

Solution :-

[ • A trapezium is a closed convex quadrilateral figure consist two opposite parallel sides ]

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * h (a + b)

Here,

Parallel sides = 14cm and 18cm

Height = 9cm

Put the required values in the formula,

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * 9 ( 14 + 18 )

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * 9 * 32

Area of trapezium = 9 * 16

Area of trapezium = 144cm^2

Related formulas :-

[ Perimeter of trapezium

= AB + BC + CD + AD ]

[ • Area of rectangle = length * breath ]

[ • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b) ]

[ • Area of square = side * side ]

[ • Perimeter of square = 4 * side ]
