the parallel sides of a tripezium measure 12 cm and 20 cm. Calculate it's area if the distance between the parallel lines is 15 cm. ​

Where 'd' is distance between the parallel sides; 'a' is the length of one parallel side and same goes with 'b'.

So, putting the values we get-

1/2* 15(12+20)= 1/2* 15* 32 = 16*15 = 240cm^{2}
