The parallel sides of trapezium measures 46cm amd 25cm. Its other two sides measures 20cm and 13cm. Find the distance between the parallel sides and the area of the trapezium

the formule for the area of this trapezium is H*(10+25)/2.

to determine the Height (H) we have

10+a+b=25

a=sqr(13²-H²) and b=sqr(14²-H²)

=> 10+sqr(13²-H²)+sqr(14²-H²)-25=0

=>H=56/5

area=56/5*(10+25)/2=196
