Given :

Perimeter of a rectangle = 36cm.

Find :

Length and breadth of a rectangle = ?

Solve :

Let the breadth be = x cm

If, length is twice the breadth so it will be

= 2x cm

A/Q -

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

36 cm = 2(2x + x)

36 cm = 2(3x)

36 cm = 6x

X = 36/6

x = 6 cm.

So, breadth of rectangle = x= 6cm.

And length of a rectangle = 2x = 2 × 6 = 12cm.

Formula Used:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (l + b).
