Answer:

hey mate your answer is (d) 36m

Explanation:

Given that,

The acceleration a=8m/s2

Initial velocity u=0m/s

We know that,

The displacement in the nth second

=u+a(n−21)

Now, the displacement in 5th second

  =0+8(5−21)

 =36m

Hence, the distance covered by it in fifth second is 36 m

hope it helps you

Given info : The particle is uniformly accelerated with an acceleration of 8m/s² for 5 sec. If it starts from rest.

To find : the displacement of this particle in the last 1 s will be ...

solution : initial velocity of the paticle , u = 0 m/s

acceleration , a = 8m/s²

time, t = 5 sec,

using formula, s = ut + 1/2 at²

distance travelled in the last 1 sec = distance travelled in 5 sec - distance travelled in 4 sec

= [ 0 × 5 + 1/2 × 8 × 5² ] - [ 0 × 4 + 1/2 × 8 × 4² ]

= 100 - 64

= 36

therefore the displacement of this particle in the last 1sec will be 36 m. so the correct option is (d).
