The particles of matter, i.e molecules are always in rapid random motion about their mean position.
We will understand this more clearly from a simple experiment -
When we heat a solid, it's internal kinetic energy increases and it's molecules start to vibrate due to which the intermolecular spaces between the molecules increases and they result in liquid state.
The particles of matter move and thus they poccess kinetic energy.

the particles of matter are continuously moving
EXAMPLE:when we keep an insence stick at a corner of one room and when we go to another corner of the room we can smell it this is because the particles of the insense stick dissolves into the air and spread out throughout the room so that's why we can say that the particles of matter moves continulsly
hope it helps u plz mark as brainlist answer plz
