The partition of Bengal was a controversial step because During the time of Independence there were many protest against Hindus and Muslim in Bengal for each seperated area . In this regard Bengal was divied in West Bengal and East Bengal (also called east Pakistan) this caused destruction at large scale as both in life and store.
