→ It was funeral procession of their beloved leader Gandhiji, who had once led them over many difficulties paths , leading from the front. And now he was lying dead on an open truck . Therefore, the walk was has been termed ' agonizing '.

→ There were thousands of people who watched the procession silently. Bapu's body was laid on an open truck covered with flowers. The people were in tears and were trying to touch Bapu's feet . It was imposible to move in the thick crowd.

→ Bapu had led people over many difficult paths . He taught them to transform an ordinary effort into a joyful one. Bapu was no more with them but his ideals were still there. People would have to realize the worth of his ideals. So, walking with Bapu had a special meaning.
