The nomads used the method of slash and burn agriculture. They cleared a small patch of land by burning it. Then, they used the land to the maximum content. After the land's soil fertility depleted, they travelled to a new patch of land. This allowed nature to replenish the fertility of the land by natural methods. However, the productivity of these lands was less because the farmers did not use modern methods.
