The path from P to Q is 3 km uphill, then 8 km on level ground and then 6 km downhill. A man can walk 1 km/hour uphill, 4 km/hour on level path and 6 km/hour downhill. How long will he take to go from P to Q and back ?​

  3. 1 X 4km/h down hill

Hence 3+2+1 =6 hrs 1 way

Back :

  2.           2 hrs on level grnd
  3.          45 minutes down hill (3/4 of an hour)

TOTAL : 12 hours 45 minutes
