The payment side of the Cash book has been undercast by Rs 150.

Can some solve this transaction please? Should i credit/debit this from Cash column or bank statement??

First of all under cast means it was charged LESS than what was to be charged.

The payment side is the CREDIT side of the cashbook.

  • If the payment was done by cheque ( bank ), then we CREDIT Bank
  • And if the payment was done by cash, then we CREDIT Cash.

This is an error that affects the Trial Balance.
