As we know it well that the correct time period of the pendulum clock is 2 seconds.

Now, In Question, Pendulum clock is taking more time, i.e. 2.04 seconds. This means it is running slow.

In one second, 2.04/2 = 1.02 seconds.  This means for one motion, it is taking 1.02 seconds, which should be 1 seconds.

Thus, It is running slow by 1.02 - 1 = 0.02 seconds.

Thus, In each seconds, it is taking 0.02 seconds more.

In one day, 24 hr = 86400 seconds.

Thus, time loss = 86400 x 0.02

= 1728 seconds.

= 28 minutes 8 seconds.

Hence, time loss by the pendulum clock is 28 minutes 8 seconds in 1 day.

Hope it helps.
