Being Unsocial - the need for social consciousness

Punjabis are world famous for their liveliness through their songs dances and cuisine. They are one of the most social people of India who love to party, socialise and celebrate, yet this exuberant nature of theirs is turning suicidal.

The Punjab Government has ordered a strict lock down and self imposed curfew on account of the pandemic of COVID-19 but most Punjabis are refusing to stay locked in their houses.

Failing to understand the gravity of the situation and its seriousness they are still roaming on the roads despite the several announcements and curfew orders .

If this continues the pandemic will spread like wild fire scorching life hungrily in its flames of infection. There will be no means of rescue.

The people are not only flocking to the roads, but also none of them are  maintaining a safe distance of separation from each other. None are wearing masks.

They are coughing, sneezing and spitting to the dozen. They seem to be inviting Corona to be a guest in their happy homes creating a Frankenstein out of it.

If the people of Punjab do not self quarantine themselves, don't sanitise their hands and clothes, don't stop socialising , the antisocial Corona virus will ruin them.

It is thus high time they realise that being unsocial is the current  need for social consciousness.
