Molar mass of CuSO4 = 63.5+32+16X4 = 159.5

Molar mass of CuSO4.5H2O = 159.5 + 5(2 + 16)

                                               = 159.5 + 5x18

                                               = 159.5 + 90

                                               = 249.5

Percentage of CuSO4 = 159.5/249.5 x 100

                                    = 63.93%

Atomic mass of the Copper = 63.5 g.

Atomic mass of the Sulphur = 32 g.

Atomic mass of the Oxygen = 16 g.

Atomic mass of the Hydrogen  1 g.

∴  Molar mass of CuSO₄ = 63.5 + 32 + 16 × 4

= 159.5 g.

Also, The molar mass of CuSO₄5H₂O = 159.5 + 5(2 + 16)

= 159.5 + 5x18

= 159.5 + 90

= 249.5  g.

 Using the Formula,

% of the Substance = Mass of the Substance/Total mass × 100%

∴ % of Substance = 159.5/259.5 × 100%

= 63.92 %

Hope it helps.
