1.2 molar=48gm

4.5% by mass

So;

48/X=4.5/100 ( if X=mass of solution)

So; X=106.6gm

mass of solution=106.6gm

density=mass of solution /volume of the solution.

volume of the solution=1L=100ml

mass of solution=106.6 gm

Density=106.6/1000= 0.106gm/ml

Density=0.016gm/ml.

Therefore,

The percentage of NaOH by weight in a 1.2 molar

NaOH solution is 4.5%, density of the solution will

be 1.066gm/ml
