Heya mate, here is ur answer

Let the equal sides be x.

X+x + unequal side = 40 cm

2x+16=40

2x =40-16

2x = 24

x =24/2

x=12

So, each equal side measure 12 cm .

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the perimeter of triangle = 40 cm.

length of unequal side = 16 cm.

(note: the other two sides will be equal because in isosceles triangle two sides are equal.)

let the other sides be x and x.

sum of all sides = perimeter of triangle

16 cm + x + x = 40 cm.

16 + 2x = 40.

2x = 40-16.

2x = 24

x = 24/2 = 12

hence the other two sides are of 12 cm each.
