The perimeter and area of a rectangle are 28 mts 40m² respectively then find its length

Given, perimeter(p)= 28m

area(a) = 40m^2

p = 2(l + b)

2(l + b) = 28

l + b = 14---------eq.1

a = l × b

l × b = 40--------eq.2

solving eq.1 & 2

putting b = 14 - l in eq.2

we get, l^2 - 14l + 40

by splitting middle term

we get, l= 10 or l= 4 AnS.
