It is stated that, the perimeter of the circular field is = 242 cm

Let, the radius of the field be, 'r'

We know that,

Perimeter of a circle = 2πr

So, as per the question,

2πr = 242

⇒ (22/7) r= 242/2  [∵ putting the value of π]

⇒ r = (121*7/22)

⇒ r = (11*7/2)

⇒ r =(77/2)

⇒ r = 38.5 cm

So, the radius of the field is 38.5 cm

We know that,

Area of a circle = πr²

∴ The area of the field is = (22/7)*(38.5)*(38.5)

                                         = 4658.5 cm²

So, the area of the field is 4658.5 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

It is stated that, the perimeter of the circular field is = 242 cm

Let, the radius of the field be, 'r'

We know that,

Perimeter of a circle = 2πr

So, as per the question,

2πr = 242

⇒ (22/7) r= 242/2  [∵ putting the value of π]

⇒ r = (121*7/22)

⇒ r = (11*7/2)

⇒ r =(77/2)

⇒ r = 38.5 cm

So, the radius of the field is 38.5 cm

We know that,

Area of a circle = πr²

∴ The area of the field is = (22/7)*(38.5)*(38.5)

                                         = 4658.5 cm²

So, the area of the field is 4658.5 cm².
